Hungary to confirm its non-participation in military aid mission to Ukraine

Hungary will confirm its non-participation in the military aid mission to Ukraine at the NATO’s Washington summit, Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister of Hungary Peter Szijjarto said, Report informs.

Szijjarto noted that the summit is expected to adopt a decision on the coordination of military supplies and the creation of a NATO mission for the training of Ukrainian soldiers:

“Our position is clear: we will not interfere in this. We have an agreement with the current Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, as well as a promise from the incoming Secretary General Mark Rutte that Hungary.”

The minister added that Hungary will make a speech at the NATO summit in Washington and call for a ceasefire and the start of peace talks to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
