Hulusi Akar reacts to US provocation over Turkey's territorial integrity

"As Turkey, we say at all platforms that we are in favour of dialogue. We invite the Greek side to the meetings. We believe that the problems will be resolved through discussions," Report informs, citing Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

“Regrettably, despite all our constructive calls, some politicians in Greece are taking a position that could be against the Greek people as well. They constantly try to increase tensions between the two countries, they pour fuel on the fire. On the other hand, we are glad to see the truth sounded by some politicians, some retired diplomats and servicemen," he said.

The minister underscored that it is unacceptable for a US TV channel to show a part of Turkey as a Greek territory.

“There was a serious reaction to this issue. At the personal initiative of Fahrettin Altun, the head of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration, the US TV channel apologized and corrected the mistake. These happen as the result of provocations. It is necessary to watch them and react seriously. We will make every effort to correct such mistakes,"
