Hikmat Hajiyev: Novruz celebrated by people of Azerbaijan for thousands of years

The people of Azerbaijan have been celebrating Novruz for thousands of years, Assistant of the President of Azerbaijan - the Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev wrote on X, Report informs.
"UN GA Resolution 64/253 recognizes the 21st of March as the International Day of Novruz. Novruz - the day of vernal equinox, is celebrated as the beginning of spring and revival of nature by the people of Azerbaijan for thousands of years," he wrote.
The presidential aide accompanied the publication with an excerpt from the above-mentioned resolution.
