Hakan Fidan: Türkiye expects fairer stance from EU

Türkiye expects from the European Union a more sensible and fair approach to the issue of Turkish membership in the community, as well as speedy steps regarding updating relations within the customs union and simplifying the visa regime, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said in a telephone conversation with European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Oliver Varhelyi, Report informs via TASS.
Minister Fidan said the EU must take a healthier and fairer stance towards Türkiye. He also noted that Türkiye expects the EU to take early concrete steps on issues such as updating the customs union, expanding cooperation in the field of investments and simplifying the visa regime.
