Hackers attack Israel’s leading media websites

Israel’s leading media websites have been subjected to a massive hacker attack, Report informs referring to TASS.

A group of hackers Anonymous Sudan stands behind the attack. In addition to the website of The Jerusalem Post, the portals of the Israeli state television and radio company Kan and the Tel Aviv-based news channel I24, which broadcasts in foreign languages, were attacked in particular.

A day earlier, The Jerusalem Post reported that Check Point, one of the biggest Israeli cybersecurity companies, was subjected to a cyber-attack. In addition, on the same day, hackers attacked the websites of a number of leading universities in Israel, including the pages of Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. For several days, massive cyber-attacks against its infrastructure have been recorded by the Israeli rescue society Ihud Hatzalah.

According to The Jerusalem Post, hackers from Anonymous Sudan are behind all these recent attacks. The perpetrators released a statement on social media claiming that their actions are a response to Israel for its actions against the Palestinians.
