UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said during his speech at the Davos Economic Forum in Switzerland that the UN Security Council (SC) has lost its prestige, Report informs.
He said that the influence of the UN Security Council has decreased: "Today, in a number of crises, middle powers such as Israel, Iran, and Türkiye have more influence than the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, as well as me. We have to admit that there are middle powers that have more influence on what is happening today than the great powers."
According to the Secretary-General, this has already been proven.
