Gulf summit kicks off in Qatar

The two-day 44th summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has kicked off in Doha, Report informs via TASS.
“Today I welcome the leaders and representatives of the GCC countries to Qatar, where they have arrived to participate in the 44th Council Summit. This summit comes at a time when our region and the world are facing significant challenges in which the Gulf countries can play a significant role. The participation of our states will contribute to solving current problems and mitigating their consequences,” the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said in a post on X.
Along with the leaders of the Gulf countries, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has also been invited to the summit.
