Greece says no new batch of military equipment dispatched to Ukraine

Greece has not dispatched a new batch of military equipment to Ukraine, beyond those officially announced after the February 27 meeting at the residence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Greek government spokesman Ioannis Ikonomou told a briefing on Monday.

Report informs citing TASS that the cabinet spokesman was asked if Greece dispatched weapons to Kyiv even before Russia began military operations in Ukraine, as the Greek press reported recently.

“No, of course not,” Iconoma replied.

“The government sent to Ukraine, in addition to humanitarian aid, defensive equipment, an agreement on which was reached during the first conversation between Prime Minister [Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis] and President [of Ukraine Volodymyr] Zelensky [on this topic]. What was then agreed upon is being implemented. There was nothing before and nothing after."
