Governor Sinegubov speaks about latest situation in Kharkiv

Governor of Kharkiv Oblast, Oleh Synyehubov, spoke about the latest situation in the region to Report.

He said that Russia strikes with S-300 missile systems: “Even compared to last year, it is many times less. Unfortunately, strikes are often carried out using S-300 missile systems. As for residential areas located on the border with Russia, the cases of shelling of these areas have increased. For example, 15-30 residential areas are shelled every day. Those areas no longer exist physically because everything there has been destroyed. As for destroyed buildings, more than 30,000 buildings were destroyed in our province.”

Synyehubov said that over 500,000 people have become internally displaced persons in the province: “They are trying to find safer areas. Part of the IDPs is from Kupiansk. Currently, the situation in Kupiansk is critical, as the front line passes through that area. The enemy has already started offensive operations. They use regular partitions during these operations. Nevertheless, the Armed Forces of Ukraine prevent these attacks and systematically destroy those units. So far, the enemy has not been able to capture any of our positions in this direction. There are more ‘gray areas’ now since the military operations have expanded.”
