Germany will start withdrawing its contingent from Mali in June this year, Report informs referring to TASS.
According to the official plans of the German authorities, participation in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) should be completed 12 months later - by the summer of 2024.
Spiegel newspaper reports that this will take a long time due to the material and technical base of the Bundeswehr in Mali: 1,700 shipping containers are needed to take out all the equipment.
First, they will be sent to neighboring Niger, where there is a large airfield, and then they will be delivered by plane to Germany.
