Germany's COVID case count exceeds 3.4 million

Germany recorded 18,935 new cases of coronavirus infection and 232 COVID-related deaths over the past day, Report informs, citing the Robert Koch Institute of the Federal German Health Ministry.
According to the institute, 3,400,532 people have contracted the novel coronavirus in Germany.
To date, the country’s COVID death toll has reached 83,082.
A day earlier, the country reported 24,329 new cases and 306 deaths.
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak of the new coronavirus infection a pandemic.
