Germany proposes EU stop visa facilitation with Russia

Germany proposes that European Union members suspend the visa facilitation agreement with Russia, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said, Report informs via RBC-Ukraine.

According to Baerbock, the German Government would like to mediate the dispute between EU countries over a complete ban on entry for Russians.ssss

“Europe needs to find common ground,” the German minister said.

“My proposal is to suspend the visa facilitation agreement so that no more multi-year visas are issued,” she added.

She also stressed that, in this case, it would be possible to carefully check how close a visa applicant is to the Russian Government.
