German media: Arms supply from US threatens Germany's sovereignty

Germany's arms sovereignty is threatened as the German military-industrial complex faces the risk of being "out of work" due to its purchases of arms and equipment from the United States, Report informs via Wirtschafts Woche.

The German military industry requires the allocation of shares in planned arms purchases from abroad. At the same time, the German authorities want to restore the combat readiness of the Bundeswehr as soon as possible and are ready to buy "ready-made products that can be delivered as soon as possible" in the first place from the United States.

In addition, the industrialists demanded that the budget committee of the Bundestag decide that the authorities should carry out the procurement in accordance with the mutual obligations clearly expressed by the suppliers.

"Thinking about Germany's sovereignty, we must do everything to not be dependent on the Americans for the next 30-50 years," said Martin Krell, managing shareholder of Autoflug.
