There is no sign that Russia's war against Ukraine will end soon, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview with local media, Report informs via RBC Ukraine.
Olaf Scholz said that if this continues, more people will die and there will be more destruction.
"Therefore, the war must end soon. But for this, Russia must agree with Ukraine. Weapons must be silenced, and Russian troops must leave Ukraine. However, such a possibility does not exist yet because the Russian side is not taking steps to reach a peace agreement," he said.
Earlier, Scholz said that the only way to lift sanctions against Russia was a peace agreement with Ukraine.
