German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in his first New Year address to the population in this post, also touched upon the topic of Ukraine, pointing out the principle of the inviolability of borders.
Report informs citing RIA Novosti that the chancellor noted in his speech that the inviolability of borders is not a subject for discussion.
"For security in Europe, transatlantic cooperation is inalienable. In the situation with Ukraine, we are facing a new challenge. The inviolability of borders is a great value and is not a subject of negotiations," Scholz said.
