G7 ministers to hold online meeting on Ukraine’s Independence Day

The foreign ministers of the G7 countries will hold a meeting on Ukraine's Independence Day, August 24, Report informs referring to the RBC-Ukraine.

The meeting will take place online, according to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has confirmed Italy's full support for Ukraine on its path to peace and respect for sovereignty.

Tajani will participate in a virtual meeting of G7 foreign ministers. The meeting will take place today at 3 p.m. and was convened by Canada, which currently holds the G7 presidency.

The G7 countries will summarize the results of the leaders' meeting in Washington on August 18 and discuss the prospects for peace in Ukraine.

Tajani also instructed that the facade of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs be illuminated with the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The Colosseum will also be illuminated.
