G7 leaders to continue support for Ukraine

The Leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) adopted a communique a day before the end of the Hiroshima summit, Report informs.

“We issued the G7 Leaders’ Statement on Ukraine, and with the clear intention and concrete actions set forth in it, we commit to intensifying our diplomatic, financial, humanitarian and military support for Ukraine, to increasing the costs to Russia and those supporting its war efforts,” reads the communique.

The leaders emphasized their readiness to build constructive and stable relations with China, recognizing the

importance of engaging candidly with and expressing our concerns directly to China:

“We reaffirm the importance of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait as indispensable to security and prosperity in the international community. There is no change in the basic positions of the G7 members on Taiwan, including stated one China policies.”

The Leaders of the Group of Seven are also taking concrete steps to strengthen disarmament and non-proliferation efforts, towards the ultimate goal of a world without nuclear weapons with undiminished security for all.
