French President Emmanuel Macron is reportedly discussing with his inner circle the possibility of resigning from his position as head of state if the right-wing parties emerge victorious in the upcoming parliamentary elections, Report informs via radio station Europe 1.
"The resignation of the president is not taboo. Yes, today we need to consider all scenarios. He is ready to sacrifice the end of his five-year term," one of Macron's close associates told the radio station.
This "extreme measures scenario" has been discussed by Macron himself in recent weeks with one of his interlocutors, the report adds.
