The right and left opposition in France threatened to remove the Prime Minister again ahead of the announcement of the new Cabinet head if President Emmanuel Macron doesn't propose a new candidate from outside his camp, Report informs via foreign media.
"We will submit a vote of no confidence if the Prime Minister holds extreme left views and works with 'France Unbowed,'" said Jean-Philippe Tanguy (a deputy from Marine Le Pen's party) on TF1 channel.
Manuel Bompard, coordinator of "France Unbowed," stated on BFMTV that if the Prime Minister comes from Macron's camp, he will submit a vote of no confidence and call on all party members to join the process.
Meanwhile, Green party leader Marine Tondelier rejected all of Macron's potential candidates, stating they "represent the past."
"The French need some enthusiasm, momentum, fresh air, something new. Macron needs to make an effort and step out of his comfort zone. This is really what the French are demanding from him," she said on France 2.
After Michel Barnier's government resignation, Macron held consultations with representatives of all parliamentary parties except the main ones: Jean-Luc Mélenchon's left-wing "France Unbowed" and Marine Le Pen's right-wing "National Rally," whom he does not intend to involve in forming the new government.
