Deputies of the National Assembly (lower house of parliament) of France have voted to increase their entertainment expenses by 305 euros, Report informs referring to TASS.
The secretariat of the National Assembly voted to increase expenses for each deputy from 5,645 to 5,950 euros per month, that is, by 5.4%. The decision was justified by the need to bring costs in line with inflation. The decision was supported by all parties, with the exception of Insubordinate France, whose deputies abstained from voting.
These are related expenses paid by parliament, which include rental housing, receptions, and trips. All unspent funds must be returned to the treasury of the National Assembly. These funds go in addition to the salaries of deputies, which average 7,600 euros per month.
