French minister: Prices will keep increasing in 2022

French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire believes that energy and commodity prices will continue to rise in 2022, Report informs via BFMTV.

The minister stressed that the price increase was due to steel, aluminum, wood, oil products, and gas shortages.

“Many people claim that the price increase is temporary. But it all depends on what you mean by that word. Personally, I do not see any prospects for improvement until the end of 2022,” Le Maire said.

Answering numerous questions about whether the French could be compensated for the sharp rise in fuel prices, Le Maire said he favored targeted measures to help the families most affected by the economic situation.

The increase in electricity prices in France has created significant problems for some enterprises. The rise in energy prices in the country has created complications in business and industry. Some factories are closing because electricity is expensive.
