French death toll from Hamas attack rises to 40

The French authorities have information about the death of 40 compatriots after the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on October 7, French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne said on the air of France Inter radio station, Report informs referring to TASS.

“As of this morning, the number of French killed persons is 40, with another 8 people remaining missing,” Borne said. She clarified that among the eight missing, some “are definitely in captivity,” but did not provide precise data on this matter.
