Foreign investments in the Hungarian economy reached a record level in 2023, exceeding €13 billion, Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations of Hungary, Peter Szijjártó, said in a video message on his Facebook page, according to Report.
Szijjártó noted that this is twice as much as a year earlier.
According to him, the national economy has been setting investment records for the second year in a row.
Investments worth €6.5 billion euros were received in 2022 and €13.13 billion in 2023, the minister said adding that 19,000 new jobs were created thanks to this.
The government believes that this is a good indicator for a country with a GDP of less than €165 billion euros.
