FM: France preparing new aid package for Ukraine

France is preparing a new aid package for Ukraine, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said, Report informs referring to foreign media.

She noted that France must continue to help Ukraine defend itself so that it starts the counteroffensive.

“We have focused our efforts on what is needed in the first place. These are Caesar howitzers, the effectiveness of which Ukrainians admire. We also supply air defense systems and ammunition, armored vehicles. We are focused on the needs of Ukraine and are in constant dialogue with it. Now we are working on a new assistance package to Ukraine,” she said.

France has already sent six TRF1 155mm towed howitzers and two Crotale air defense systems to Ukraine. It was also reported that Ukraine had already received 18 Caesar artillery mounts from France. Ukraine also received MANPADS Mistral and ATGM Milan, about 60 armored personnel carriers and anti-tank mines HDP-2A2.

In addition to weapons, France supplied Ukraine with uniforms, fuel, shells and cartridges, first-aid kits and dry rations, radiation, chemical and biological protection.
