Finnish company suspected of supplying technology to Russia in violation of sanctions

A Helsinki-based company is suspected of violating sanctions. According to investigators, the company ordered products from all over the world and exported them to Russia, the Central Criminal Police of Finland said, Report informs referring to Yle.

Local law enforcers have investigated purchasing and logistics operators in Finland suspected of being involved in the export of high technology to Russia.

The investigation was launched in 2019 after a Helsinki-registered company was suspected of illegal activities.

According to the investigation, various goods, including electronics, were exported to Russia through the company.

The company is suspected of violating EU sanctions legislation. The alleged crimes mainly concern the period 2016-2020. Less than five people are suspects in the case.
