Finland, Latvia agree on joint maintenance of Patria armored vehicles

Finland and Latvia have signed an agreement with Patria on joint maintenance of Patria 6x6 armored vehicles throughout their life cycle, according to the Finnish Ministry of Defense, Report informs referring to TASS.

The participating countries will be provided with common technical configuration management services, a platform for information exchange, common services for planning and supporting the supply of spare parts, as well as technical support services and a feedback system, the statement specifies.

"This is an important step in the multinational CAVS (Common Armored Vehicle System) project, led by Finland. The joint agreement will ensure cost-effective maintenance of vehicles throughout their life cycle and create a basis for deepening cooperation," says Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen.
