Farewell ceremony for Pope Francis begins in Vatican

A farewell ceremony is taking place in the Vatican for Pope Francis, who passed away on April 21.
Report informs via RBC-Ukraine that thousands of believers and about 50 world leaders have arrived to attend the pontiff’s funeral.
The funeral Mass is being held in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican and is led by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, the Dean of the College of Cardinals.
After the conclusion of the funeral Mass, Pope Francis’s coffin will be transported to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. For the first time in 100 years, a Pope will be buried outside the Vatican walls.
