Expert slams Olympic opening ceremony in Paris as sign of disrespect towards French people

The opening ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games has sparked outrage in France, with Thierry Prouvost, president of the French Association of Generations, accusing the organizers of showing disrespect to the French people, their religion, history, and geniuses.

"The citizens of France experienced a shock during the opening of the Summer Olympic Games," Prouvost told Report.

According to Prouvost, the government, which allowed the airing of offensive images that shocked people, failed in its duty as the guardian of the law.

"Showing the French queen Marie Antoinette holding her severed head to the sounds of music is disrespectful to the French people," he stressed. "It is not only a tasteless art, it is a phenomenon that shocks people."

The controversial opening ceremony also featured the insult of the Christian prophet on stage, which Prouvost described as "an insult to all Christians in general."
