European Commission sees no risk of pandemic in Europe due to virus in China

The European Union does not see the need to prepare for a new pandemic due to the spread of the virus in China - metapneumovirus, European Commission spokesperson Eva Hrncirova said, Report informs via foreign media.

"There is no need to prepare for a pandemic now, we are aware of the situation in China, our medical agency is monitoring the situation, it will also be discussed at the health committee in the coming weeks," she noted.

The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention previously reported a virus outbreak in the northern provinces.
