The European Union plans to develop a new multi-year macro-finance package for Ukraine. Work on it may begin after 2023, a spokesman for the head of the European Council, Barend Leitz, said, Report informs.

According to Leitz, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Hiroshima, said that the European Union is developing a new financial assistance package after 2023.

"This package will reflect the EU's long-term commitment to help Ukraine," Leitz said.

At the same time, he noted that military assistance will be increased, including the delivery of ammunition and the creation of a coalition for the supply of combat aircraft.
