The EU has reached the ceiling on the imposition of sanctions against Russia, Virginijus Sinkevicius, European Commissioner for Environment, said in an interview with Ziniu radijas radio station, Report informs.
“I’ve been saying for a long time that the sanctions have reached their ceiling, and we can’t expect any innovations,” the politician said.
He also added that in the future, only work on detailing the already introduced restrictions is possible, since all “important steps have been taken.”
