The European Union (EU) is interested in holding peace talks in Ukraine as soon as possible, but only the Ukrainian leadership can make the decision to start the talks, Josep Borrel, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, said, Report informs, citing RBC Ukraine.
"I don't know when the first peace talks should start. Since the president of Ukraine is facing this occupation, I cannot advise him on this issue. The sooner the negotiations are held, the better it is," he said.
