EU High Representative reveals purpose of arming Ukraine

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has voiced the goal of arming Ukraine in an interview with the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on May 11, Report informs.

Josep Borrell noted that there are people who claim that the EU's supply of weapons to Kyiv only serves to prolong the war.

"Doesn't it matter how the war ends? Should Ukraine kneel? Do they want this? Wars end with peace talks. But for this, you must first be a strong party. Our goal is to make Ukraine a strong side," he said.
