EU has different opinions on a possible ban on issuing visas to Russian citizens

Among the member states of the European Union, there are different opinions about a possible ban on issuing visas to Russian citizens, Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said, Report informs citing UNIAN.

In particular, Di Maio was asked what Italy's position is regarding the possibility of banning the issuance of tourist visas to Russians, because this issue will be discussed at a meeting of the EU Council at the level of EU foreign ministers on August 31.

"At the meeting of the Council of Ministers at the end of the month, we will do our best to achieve this goal. As for visas, of course, there are also different opinions in the European Union, but, as we have already shown, common approaches can be found," he added.
