EU ambassadors agree to freeze customs duties for Ukraine for another year

Ambassadors of 27 EU countries agreed to extend for another year the decision on the temporary abolition of customs duties and quotas for Ukraine, with exceptions for some agricultural goods, for which the restrictions will remain in force, Report informs via TASS
A similar decision was made regarding Moldova.
Now the EU must agree on this decision in negotiations between the European Council and the European Parliament and put it into force by the summer of 2024.
Regarding Ukraine, quotas and duties should be frozen for the period from June 6, 2024 to June 5, 2025, and for Moldova - from July 25, 2024 to July 24, 2025.
