EU agrees to extend sanctions against Russia for six months

The EU Permanent Representatives Committee has agreed on another six-month extension, until the end of January 2025, of the community's economic sanctions against Russia, introduced in 2014, a diplomatic source in the EU told journalists, Report informs referring to TASS.
The EU ambassadors have agreed on a new extension of EU economic sanctions against Russia for six months, the source said. This decision will be formally approved on July 22 at a meeting of EU foreign ministers.
In total, the EU imposed 685 sanctions against Russian legal entities. There are 1,558 individuals under personal sanctions.
