Ethiopian NGO head: Colonial countries restrict access to medicines

Colonial countries restrict access to medicines, thereby violating human rights, head of an NGO from Ethiopia, Fekadu Demisse, said at the international conference “Neo-colonialism: Violation of Human Rights and Injustice” in Baku, Report informs.

“Licensing carried out by Western countries, including France, creates barriers to access to medicines. Restrictions on access to medicines are unfair and violate human rights. Having access to medicines is a key aspect, each of us has the right to it,” Fekadu Demisse noted.
