Estonia will introduce a defense tax before the next parliamentary elections, which will be held in 2027, the country's Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said, Report informs referring to ERR website.
“The defense tax will become a serious tax burden for society. It is expected that it will be multi-component. The second important point is that the defense tax will be introduced temporarily,” Tsahkna noted.
He added that the tax amount will vary for different categories of the population, depending on their income.
