Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he doesn't expect the conflict between Russia and Ukraine to end soon, Report informs.
He made the remark at the graduation ceremony for officers of the National Defense University in Istanbul.
“The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for almost two and a half years. The conflict, in which neither side can ensure complete superiority over the other, leads to significant casualties and destruction. I regret to admit that there is still no strong will to end the conflict in the near future," Erdogan said.
He noted that Türkiye is “doing everything possible” to stop the conflict, which “is of no use to anyone except the war merchants.”
