A furious elephant sent locals scrambling for safety during a festival in India, causing chaos and leaving at least 17 people injured, one of them critically, Report informs via NDTV.
The incident occurred during an annual festival at a mosque in the Malappuram district of Kerala. Video footage from the scene shows at least five elephants present in the square. Suddenly, one of the elephants charged into the crowd, grabbing a man with its trunk and violently swinging him from side to side.
The injured man was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. Most of the injuries sustained by others were a result of the stampede triggered by the elephant's aggressive behavior.
