Ebola killed over 1,100 in Congo

More than 1,100 people have died since last July due to the Ebola haemorrhagic fever virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Report with reference to RIA Novosti.
"The situation as of Friday, May 10, 2019: a total of 1,649 cases (infections - ed.) - 1561 confirmed and 88 possible, 1105 deceased and 444 cured," the country's health ministry said on Twitter.
The Ebola epidemic broke out in West Africa in 2015 and mainly affected three countries: Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
The current Ebola outbreak in DRC began at the end of July 2018.
