Earthquake rocks west of Syria, injuring at least 17

A powerful earthquake struck the western Syrian province of Hama, leaving at least 17 people injured, according to Report, which cites the state-run SANA news agency.

The epicenter of the seismic event, measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale, was just 4 kilometers west of the city of Salamiyah, home to nearly 95,000 residents.
