A magnitude 5.3 quake occurred in Peru near Pucallpa, Report informs, citing the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The earthquake hit late at night on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, at 11:05 pm local time at an intermediate to considerable depth of 151 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake did not cause any significant damage.
