Eight people died, and three others are missing after days of torrential rains in Japan, Report informs, citing NHK.
Another 16 people were injured in the accident. Kusu Island, including Saga and Nagano prefectures, was the hardest hit. Currently, work is underway to eliminate the consequences of landslides and river floods in the regions affected by heavy rains.
Downpours in Japan fell late last week and early this week and lasted for several days.
