In the wake of a violent hurricane that swept through central and eastern Poland, more than 30,000 residents are still grappling with the absence of electricity.

The fury of the storm left a trail of destruction, claiming two lives and injuring two others, as reported by Beata Więczek, a representative of the Government Security Center, to Polsat TV.

According to Report, which cites TASS, the hardest-hit regions include Mazovia and Warmia-Masuria voivodeships, where approximately 12,000 households remain without power. Podlaskie Voivodeship also bears the brunt of the storm's impact, with 6,000 residents currently cut off from the grid.

The hurricane, accompanied by heavy downpours and strong wind gusts, battered the country on July 27. According to media reports, the number of affected individuals soared to over 130,000 at the peak of the crisis.
