Sweden and Denmark have sent aid to Kyiv in the form of fishing nets, which Ukraine is presumably using to combat drones, Report informs via Yle.
The total cost of the nets from Denmark alone was about €2.5 million. Most of the nets were given to fishermen as unnecessary after Britain imposed restrictions on fishing in the North Sea.
Earlier, the Ukrainian newspaper Kyiv Post noted that fishing nets can be used to protect against drone attacks.
Stretched in advance over trenches and entrances to dugouts, they can help slow the fall of explosive devices dropped from drones, which can disrupt their detonation mechanism.
