Death toll in Israel after Hamas attack reaches 1,200, over 2,700 injured

The death toll in Israel as a result of the Hamas attack has risen to 1,200, with at least 2,700 more people injured, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson Jonathan Conricus said on the social network X (formerly Twitter), Report informs.

Earlier the Israeli public radio Kan announced unofficial data that as a result of the Hamas attack, 1,200 people were killed and 2,900 were injured.

Rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip started on the morning of October 7 and were accompanied by the penetration of groups of militants into the territory of the Jewish state. The Israeli Army declared a "state of readiness for war" and soon announced the launch of its response, Operation Iron Swords.
