Death toll from tornadoes in US rises to 40

The number of fatalities caused by storms and tornadoes in the United States has risen to 40, Report informs via NBC News.
The disaster has caused severe damage, destroying residential buildings and other structures.
Additionally, more than 300,000 people remain without electricity.
A state of emergency has been declared in Arkansas, Georgia, and Oklahoma.
