Death toll from Myanmar's flooding rises to 226

The death toll from Myanmar's flooding has risen to 226, with 77 people still missing, the Information Team of Myanmar's State Administration Council reported, Report informs referring to TASS.
The floods have affected dozens of townships across the country, killing 128,344 animals, the report said.
A total of 438 shelters were set up for flood victims, it added.
The affected regions and states included Kayah, Kayin, Bago, Magway, Mandalay, Mon, Shan, Ayeyarwady, and Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, it said.
