David Lammy appointed Foreign Secretary in Labour Cabinet

David Lammy has been appointed by Sir Keir Starmer as the new UK Foreign Secretary, Report informs referring to The Telegraph.
There had been speculation that Lammy would not be given the role, despite him having served as shadow foreign secretary since November 2021.
Other appointments to Labour’s Cabinet include Angela Rayner, who is Deputy Prime Minister and housing secretary, and Rachel Reeves, the new Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Pat McFadden, who ran Labour’s election campaign, was appointed Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Yvette Cooper was made Home Secretary.
